Getting started
Log a PTCG Live match from its battle log
Updated
A PTCG Live match logs like any other match, with one extra step: paste its battle log, so DeckSequence builds a turn-by-turn replay and counts which cards you played. You need a deck first. If you don't have one yet, import a decklist.
Before your first match
Add your PTCG Live username, so DeckSequence knows which side of a battle log is yours. In the app it's under Account, then Profile. On the web it's in Account settings. Enter it exactly as it appears in PTCG Live.
Turn on card IDs in PTCG Live too. Without them the log still saves, but its replay comes out empty. Turn on card IDs in PTCG Live shows how.
Log the match
- Open Log a Match.
- Fill in Result, Date, Deck and Deck Version. Your active deck and its latest version are already picked.
- Enter the Opponent deck. Pick a name you've used before or type a new one. Matches under the same name count as one matchup, so reuse names where you can.
- Set Turn order and the prizes each player had left.
- Under Environment, choose PTCG Live. The Battle Log field appears.
- Copy the battle log from PTCG Live and paste it into Battle Log.
- Tap Submit in the app, or Log Game on the web.
On the web, pasting the log fills in the result, turn order and prizes for you. Check them before you save. In the app, you enter them yourself.
Saving a PTCG Live match needs a connection. Paper matches save offline and sync later.
After you save
Open the match and tap Watch replay to step through it turn by turn. The replay starts from your side. View as switches to your opponent's.
If the save toast says the log had a problem, its How to fix button opens the right guide. The match is saved either way: only the replay is affected.
