What's new in DeckSequence

Every release, and what it changed for you.

Version 2.6.0

Group a night of matches into a Session

Start a Session for a grind, a testing night or a deck experiment, and every match you log joins it with your deck already filled in. Tournaments can now be filtered by category, carry the Standard format they were played in, and run across a weekend. Each matchup opens on its own page, and opponent decks you count as one deck can be grouped into a single record. On your phone, Home opens on who you are, whatever you have running, and your latest matches.

Web, iOS and Android

New
  • Start a Session with a deck and version, and every match you log joins it with that deck already filled in. Its screen keeps a running record, and it ends on its own after 12 hours without a match.
  • Add a match you logged earlier to any Session, move it to another one, or take it out, from the Session or from the match itself.
  • Group and filter your match history by Session.
  • Filter your Tournaments by category. Pick one or several, such as Cups and Challenges, and the list shows only those.
  • Record the Standard format a Tournament was played in, such as TEF-30C. Leave it blank and it takes the format in play on the event's date.
  • Give a Tournament an end date, up to a week after it starts, so a Regionals or Worlds reads as the two or three days it was. Each Round lands on the day you played it.
  • Open a matchup on its own page: your record against that opponent, how each deck version has done against it, and every match behind the number.
  • Group the opponent decks you count as one deck, such as every Dragapult variant, and your matchup spread rolls them into a single record. Switch between grouped and individual at any time, and open a group to see each variant on its own.
  • Star any number of decks as favorites and filter Decks down to them. Your active deck is now set on its own, from the tag beside the deck's sprites.
  • A new Home screen: your name and Player ID up top, your open Tournament and Session with their records and next actions, or your win rate and matchup spread when nothing is running, then your latest matches. · iOS and Android
  • Share a deck as a link or as an image from one Share menu. An unchanged list is rendered once and reused. · iOS and Android
Improved
  • The Tournaments list is rebuilt as cards under In progress and Completed. Each card leads with a mark for its category and shows your record beside your deck's sprites.
  • Start, log and end a Session with no signal. It syncs on its own once you're back online. · iOS and Android
  • On a wide screen, Add Round opens beside your Rounds and stays open after you save, so you can log a whole event back to back. · Web
  • On a wide screen the replay is laid out like the table: both Benches, the two Active Pokémon facing each other with the Stadium beside them, and your hand below. · Web
  • Matches shows your matchup spread under your recent matches, following the same deck, opponent and format filters. · Web
  • Input fields have a visible outline in both themes, so it's clearer what you can tap. · iOS and Android
  • The 30th Celebration foil basic Energies are in the card catalog, ready to add to a deck.
Fixed
  • The replay board follows the match more closely: damage counters placed or healed by effects, Tools kept apart from Energy, and a hand count that no longer drifts. · Web

Version 2.4.2

Print your tournament decklist

Turn any deck into a decklist ready to hand in at a Cup, Challenge or Regional, with your Player ID, date of birth, age division and every regulation mark filled in.

Web, iOS and Android

New
  • Get a tournament decklist PDF from a deck or a tournament, with the set, collector number and regulation mark of every Pokémon and Trainer. Download it on the web, or share it to print or save from your phone.
  • Copy or share the same decklist as text for an online registration.
  • Add your legal name and date of birth to your account to fill in your decklist. Your age division is worked out for you, and only you can see them.

Version 2.4.0

Put your deck in the order you read it in

Drag your 60 into the order you actually think in, the main line, then support, then tech, on the web or your phone. Build and edit the odds that matter to your list on Play Hands, and run a whole tournament with no signal at all.

Web, iOS and Android

New
  • Arrange your deck's cards in your own order: switch on card ordering and drag a card where you want it within its Pokémon, Trainer or Energy section. On your phone, press and hold a card to pick it up.
  • Run a whole tournament with no signal: create it, log every round, finish it. It syncs on its own once you're back online. · iOS and Android
  • Edit a saved card group or combo query instead of deleting it and building it again.
  • Finish a tournament as Winner or Finalist.
Improved
  • The Playtest page is now Play Hands. Your card groups and combo odds come first, each showing the cards it's built from, and the practice draw sits at the bottom.
  • Your card order saves as you drag, is kept per deck version, and shows wherever your deck does, including the decklist you copy out for registration.
  • Preview your tournament recap in Light or Dark before you share it. · iOS and Android
  • Share a deck from your phone in one tap: Share creates the link and opens the share sheet. · iOS and Android
  • A deck's version history is now called Versions.
Fixed
  • A matchup at exactly 45% reads as even rather than as a losing one.

Version 2.1.1

New sets reach the card catalog within a day

30th Celebration and its Classic Collection are in the catalog, and new sets and promos now arrive within a day of release, so you can find them in search and add them to your collection right away.

Web, iOS and Android

Improved
  • New sets and new promos reach the card catalog within a day of their release.
  • 30th Celebration and 30th Celebration: Classic Collection show up in card search and can be added to your collection.
  • Every Mega Evolution Black Star Promo released so far is in the catalog, including Pikachu at the Museum.

Version 2.1.0

Log tournament matches from the round you're on

Each tournament round is now where its matches get logged and corrected, and a finished tournament records how it ended and where you placed. Every save and delete also tells you whether it worked. The iOS and Android apps get it in the next app update.

Web, iOS and Android

New
  • Log each match from its round, and open a logged match to edit it without leaving the round.
  • Finish a tournament as completed or dropped, with your placement and finish bracket.
  • Mark a round you already created as an ID, a no-show or a bye.
  • Give each tournament a category, from an online event up to Worlds.
  • Edit a tournament's details after you create it. · iOS and Android
Improved
  • Every save, update and delete tells you whether it worked.
  • Deleting a tournament also deletes the matches logged in it, and the confirmation tells you how many first.
  • A match's page leads with the result and your opponent, then groups what you recorded, the deck you played and your notes. · iOS and Android
Fixed
  • A Battle Log no longer flags your deck as mismatched because of cards your opponent played.

Version 2.0.2

The newest promos are in the card catalog

Scarlet & Violet promos past SVP 165 and the Mega Evolution Black Star Promos are now in the catalog, so a deck list that plays them imports in full and you can find those printings in search.

Web, iOS and Android

Improved
  • Deck lists with newer Scarlet & Violet promos, like Teal Mask Ogerpon ex SVP 166, import every card instead of flagging the promos as unknown.
  • Mega Evolution Black Star Promos (MEP) import from a deck list, show up in card search and can be added to your collection.
  • A promo counts as the same card as its main-set printing when a deck checks what you own, so a promo Teal Mask Ogerpon ex covers a list that names the Twilight Masquerade one.

Version 2.0.0

See which deck version wins, and which cards you use

Every deck now has a Performance page: your record against each opponent for every version of the deck, and how often you actually used each card in games you logged with a Battle Log. The iOS and Android apps get it in the next app update.

Web, iOS and Android

New
  • Compare your matchup spread across deck versions in one table, or pick a single version to see only its record.
  • See how often you used each card in games with a Battle Log, and how often you drew it without playing it.
  • Follow your win rate from one deck version to the next on a chart, and scan every matchup as a bar against a 50% line. · Web
Improved
  • Each version in a deck's history shows its record and opens straight to that version's performance.

Version 1.4.0

Use a shared or competitive deck in one click

When a list catches your eye among the competitive decklists, or someone sends you one, a single button puts your own copy of those 60 cards in your Deck Lab, ready to change.

Web

New
  • Copy a shared deck or a competitive decklist into your Deck Lab in one click, then change it like any deck you built.
  • If you sign up from that button, the deck is copied into your new account as soon as it's ready, as long as you finish signing up on the same device.
Improved
  • Competitive decklists put the 60 cards first, with a button to copy the deck list and a switch between one grid and Pokémon, Trainer and Energy sections.
  • Shared decks and competitive decklists open as one grid of all 60 cards, so the list you came for is the first thing you see.
  • When a competitive decklist has cards with no printing code on record, it tells you how many the copied deck list leaves out, so you know what to add by hand after importing.

Version 1.2.2

Menus that open where you tap

On iPhone, the actions behind a deck, match, tournament or round open at the button you tapped instead of sliding up from the bottom of the screen. Arrives in the next iOS app update.

iOS

Improved
  • Edit, export and delete open in a menu beside the button you tapped, so your thumb stays where it was and you can see the screen behind it.
  • Filtering your collection and adding cards to it are separate buttons in the header, so neither one is a mis-tap away from the other.

Version 1.2.0

Export your deck list for tournament day

Hand an organizer your list in seconds: any deck exports in the same format PTCG Live uses. Your profile now edits in place, one field at a time, and your Player ID is a tap away.

Web, iOS and Android

New
  • Export any deck as a PTCG Live list, ready to paste into a tournament registration or send to an organizer. On iOS and Android it opens your share sheet.
  • Copy your Pokémon Player ID or PTCG Live username from your profile in one tap.
Improved
  • Your name, PTCG Live username, Player ID and username each edit in place and save the moment you confirm, so a stray tap can't change them.
  • Copied deck lists match PTCG Live's own export, with a line count on each section and basic energy written the way PTCG Live names it.
  • On a wide screen, your collection's search and filters stay in place while the cards scroll beneath them. · Web
Fixed
  • Deck lists with Technical Machines import complete, instead of failing or saving a deck a few cards short.
  • Limitless deck lists with promo cards, Trainer Gallery printings or Shiny Vault cards now find those cards instead of marking them unknown.
  • On a phone browser, match cards use the full width, so deck and opponent names no longer cut off. · Web

Version 1.1.1

Draw odds that count your turn-1 draw

Both players draw at the start of turn 1, and the by-turn odds now say so. Mega Evolution Energy also joins the card database, so your basic energy shows as the printing you actually play.

Web, iOS and Android

Improved
  • Mega Evolution Energy is in the card database, so Battle Logs and imported deck lists show the basic energy printing PTCG Live uses today, and you can add it to your decks and your collection.
Fixed
  • By-turn draw odds count the turn-1 draw for the player going first, so those odds are no longer one card short. The going-first toggle is gone, since both seats now show the same figures. On iOS and Android, it arrives in the next app update. · Web
  • Deck lists with Scarlet & Violet Energy 17 to 24 import cleanly instead of flagging those energy cards as unresolved.

Version 1.1.0

Search, filter and sort your collection

Find any card you own by name, set or number, even with a typo, and narrow a binder of thousands to exactly the cards you need. On iOS and Android, it arrives in the next app update.

Web

New
  • Search your collection by card name, set code, set name or collector number. Close spellings still find the card.
  • Filter your collection by card type, subtype, energy, set, rarity, regulation mark and Standard legality, with a count beside every option.
  • Sort your collection by name, newest set, most copies or recently added.
Improved
  • Large collections load once and scroll smoothly, even past 5,000 printings.
  • On a phone browser, every collection row has its own quantity buttons, so changing a count no longer means opening the card.
