Track a tournament round by round
Updated
A tournament keeps every round you played together, with your record and how far you got. In the app, rounds save even with no signal at the venue.
Start a tournament
In Tournaments, tap New Tournament:
- Pick the Category: Online, Locals, Challenge, Cup, Regionals, Internationals or Worlds.
- Add a Tournament name if you like. Left blank, it's named from the category and date, like "Cup · Sat, Sep 13".
- Set the Date, and an End date for an event that runs more than one day.
- Pick the Format (the card pool) if you know it. Left blank, it uses the format in play on that date.
- Choose the Match type: Best of 1, Best of 3, or Mixed for Swiss Bo1 with a Bo3 top cut.
- Pick the Deck and Deck Version you're playing, then tap Start.
Add a round
Tap Add Round after each round:
- Tap Win, Loss or Tie for each game, and who went first if you like. In a Bo3, Game 2 appears once Game 1 has a result, and Game 3 only at 1–1. In a Mixed tournament, pick Best of 1 or Best of 3 for the round first.
- Enter the Opponent deck and up to two sprites. Both are optional.
- Tap Save Round.
A round you didn't play out goes under Other outcome: ID for an intentional draw, No show, or Bye.
Finish the tournament
Choose Finish, then answer How did it end? with Completed or Dropped. Add your Placement and how far you got, from Day 2 and Top 128 up to Finalist and Winner. Then tap Finish Tournament.
Changed your mind? The tournament's menu has Edit finish and Reopen tournament.
Edit or delete
Edit tournament changes the details. The match type locks once a round is logged, because each round keeps its own.
Delete round removes a round, but its matches stay in your history as standalone matches.
Delete tournament removes the tournament, all its rounds and every match logged in them. Those matches stop counting toward your stats, and it can't be undone. The confirmation says how many rounds and matches go with it.
