Opening-hand odds with Play Hands
Updated
Play Hands works out your deck's odds from its exact card counts, so you can check a list change before you play it. Open a deck and choose Play Hands. It's free.
If the deck has unsaved changes, the odds include them.
Odds
The Odds section shows your Mulligan chance, and how often your 7-card opening hand has at least one Basic Pokémon, Supporter and Energy.
Below it, a table shows your chance of having seen at least one copy of each card by turns 1 to 4, counting each turn's draw. Both players draw on their first turn, so going first or second doesn't change these numbers.
Card groups
A card group answers "will I see one of these?" for cards that do the same job, like your draw engine or a set of key techs. Tap New group, pick the cards, and the group gets its own row in the turn table.
Combo odds
For a specific hand, like a Basic and its attachment together, tap New query and Add condition for each card: At least or Exactly a number of copies. A card can be in only one condition.
The result shows:
- the odds after mulligans,
- if you miss the opener, the odds that one of the cards is prized,
- the odds by turn.
The turn odds count only the cards you're guaranteed to draw. Draw and search cards aren't modeled, so treat the turn odds as a floor.
Playtest
Draw opening hand deals a random 7 from your deck. Shuffle & draw again deals another. The tally counts your hands and mulligans next to the expected mulligan rate, so you can see the odds play out.
